The square plate is one of components of heat sink module for E-Books. The thinnest wall thickness of particular area is requested to 0.45mm, and other section is around 0.79mm. Each surface of plate will go with two other electrical modules, such as battery and IC plate. Our die casting part is just one of its components.


I worry about the flatness issue even though we are familiar with the mold's design and die casting process for the kind of thin plate. The wall thickness can be of 0.45mm in some section area. We have full discussion with our client before mold's design, and alter some dimensions to make it possible at die casting.

  
The basic rules of thumb you have to control the die temperature very well to deal with the thin plate. The die heater is a good choice to control the die temperature on particular location of parts to avoid deforming. We can control the dimension on the thin plate perfectly.


After die casting, there is a fixture to improve the flatness during the secondary operation and the part has a good run recently.
